24-year-old Justin Njinmah of SV Werder Bremen, could have arrived at the Friedkins’ court last summer, if it weren’t for the fact that there were some obstacles.

In an interview with Transfermarkt.de, Njinmah recounted his last months and the market rumors that were circulating about him last winter.

Among the European clubs most interested in the player were Roma, who would have been willing to complete the transfer, for a figure that could reach up to €10 million.

However, as the player himself stated, the club would have blocked the Giallorossi’s offer: “I am aware of many things. There have been offers, I cannot deny it”, said the striker in hindsight.

“Things like this are discussed with the club, and the decision is always made together. I was told that they want to keep me. That’s why I’m still here.”

However, the June market is almost upon us and the player does not rule out that the club’s plans could change and that he could find himself on the market, with the Giallorossi perhaps making a move for him again: “Moving abroad can always be an option. I am a person who likes to see new things”, explains the Hamburg native. “It is interesting to experience market phases like this. When the clubs I used to play with on PlayStation contact me. But I am also very happy to continue being here at Werder”.
