Since the arrival of Hansi Flick on the FC Barcelona bench, the Blaugrana team has transformed into one of the most exciting ones in Europe. The Catalans have been particularly impressive with their offensive displays, having already scored 145 goals this season.

The German coach’s appointment has once again brought Robert Lewandowski back to his best level, and the Pole has scored 40 of the 145 goals scored by his team so far.

As Mundo Deportivo has noted, with these 40 goals this season, the Polish veteran has taken his overall goal tally with Barcelona to 99 goals, and thus, can reach a century of goals in the upcoming league match against Leganes.

Lewandowski scored 33 goals in 2022-23, his first season in a Blaugrana shirt, and then scored another 26 goals in the ensuing 2023-24 season.

But without any doubt, this 2024-25 season has been his best one in a Barcelona shirt. As he did in seven of his eight seasons at Bayern Munich, he has reached the 40-goal mark, but this season, he can take his tally significantly higher as he can play up to 13 more games.

He is the top scorer in La Liga, as his 25 goals are 3 more than the tally of his closest pursuer, the Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe, and a whopping 10 goals more than the third-placed Ante Budimir of Osasuna.

Meanwhile, he is the second-highest scorer in the UEFA Champions League, behind only his teammate Raphinha. Lewandowski’s 11 goals in the competition are only 1 less than Raphinha’s, but 1 more than Serhou Guirassy, whom he will face in the upcoming second leg of the quarter-final tie this Tuesday.

Hopefully, the Pole will be able to score several more goals in the upcoming games to get his name written among the best scorers in the Blaugrana club’s history.
