Inter Milan are ready to make a number of sales this summer as part of their broader strategy for the transfer window.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that there could be a number of sales of younger players in order to fund a few key signings.

The takeover of Inter by Oaktree Capital has been dominating the headlines around the Nerazzurri for a few days now.

However, the reality is that irrespective of what’s happening at the top, the club will have work to do in the transfer market.

Tuttosport reports that the arrival of new owners won’t change Inter’s transfer plans.

The Nerazzurri are already bringing in Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi on free transfers.

And beyond that, there are three areas where the club want to make signings.

One is in goal. Athletico Paranaense’s Bento and Genoa’s Josef Martinez are the main targets there.

Then, in defender, Inter will also make a signing. The dream target is Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno, but the Nerazzurri are keeping their options open.

Lastly, Inter will want to make a signing in attack. There, the top target as ever is Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson.

Which Players Inter Milan Could Sell This Summer

This will be another summer in which Inter have to “sell to buy.”

Therefore, the Nerazzurri cannot make any of the costly signings mentioned above without bringing in a roughly equivalent amount of cash.

And if anything, Inter’s new owners will want to end the summer with a bit of a profit in the transfer market – albeit nothing like the huge profit the club made in the summer of 2021.

As far as possible sales, Denzel Dumfries would be the likeliest candidate to leave for a substantial fee.

Should the Dutchman not sign a contract extension, Inter will look to sell him.

But otherwise, the Nerazzurri will be hoping to keep the squad together.

A truly massive offer could always tempt Inter. And then there is striker Marcus Thuram’s €85 million release clause.

But overall, Inter are not going to be looking to sell players who started with any regularity this season.

Rather, the Nerazzurri are going to try and cash in on younger players currently out on loan.

Valentin Carboni is one possibility. Inter would listen to offers of around €30 million for the 19-year-old.

Then, there are strikers Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito. Goalkeeper Filip Stankovic and his brother, midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic could also go.

Lucien Agoume, Martin Satriano, Zinho Vanheusden, and Andrei Radu would all be major candidates to leave for fee.

And lastly, Tuttosport notes, Inter would be ready to sell Gaetano Oristanio and Mattia Zanotti on permanent deals rather than loaning them out again.
