Crysencio Summerville’s move from Leeds United to West Ham United is all but complete. Stade Rennais had been keen to sign the Dutch winger as they look to rebuild their attack in the wake of notable departures.

However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, Summerville will undergo a medical ahead of his move to West Ham on Thursday, completing a €33m move. Rennes were never able to compete at that price and quickly turned their attention elsewhere. Foot Mercato understands that Corinthians winger Wesley (19) has emerged as the key target.

They aren’t the only interested party. Chelsea are also interested in the highly-rated Brazilian, whilst West Ham have previously been cited as an interested party. The latter’s acquisition of Summerville may put an end to that pursuit.

However, there is even Ligue 1 competition to contend with, with OGC Nice also in the race. Les Aiglons may no prioritise strengthening their attack in the wake of Terem Moffi’s ACL injury. Rennes remain in discussions to sign Wesley, who is not short of suitors this summer.
