Real Sociedad make contact over deal for Al Qadsiah star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have made formal contact with their counterparts at Saudi side Al Qadsiah, over a deal for a member of the latter’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points to Ezequiel ‘Equi’ Fernández as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge across Spain at this point that Real Sociedad are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to next season.

As much comes with engine room standout Martín Zubimendi all set to take his talents to the Premier League, with Arsenal.

And amid their ongoing search for the ideal replacement, all roads have led La Real to the aforementioned Equi Fernández.

Fernández, for his part, is a 22-year-old midfielder, who generally lines out in a deep-lying role.

The Argentine is a regular at youth level with the Albiceleste, held in high regard throughout his home country.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Equi’s future could well lie in Spain.

As per journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Real Sociedad make contact to sign Argentinian midfielder Equi Fernández from Al Qadsiah. He’s one of the main options to replace Martin Zubimendi who’s joining Arsenal. Equi, keen on the move but Al Qadsiah want an improved bid.’
