Finnish forward Franssi joins London City Lionesses | OneFootball

London City Lionesses have completed the signing of experienced Finnish international forward Sanni Franssi.

The Pride announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 3o-year-old joins London City Lionesses off the back of a five-year spell playing her football in Spain with Real Socieded. Franssi made more than 150 appearances for La Real in all competitions. The forward has also turned out for VJS, PK-35, FC Zürich, Juventus and Fortuna Hjørring in her career to date.

On the international stage, Franssi has collected more than 90 caps for the Finnish national team. She is currently representing her country at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

After joining London City Lionesses, Franssi said “I’m really excited, it is an exciting project and club to be a part of.

“It’s a club with a lot of ambition; they want to do great things. These types of projects are always the most exciting to be a part of for a player. Fans can expect a lot of energy from me on the pitch; I will always give my all for the team. I can’t wait to meet everyone and give the fans a great season.”

Franssi is London City Lionesses’ second summer signing.
