Two members of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will be closely watched by their national team head coach on Wednesday night.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Nacho and Lucas Vázquez as being the pair in question.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real are of course set to return to action in short order, in a crunch fixture on the continennt.

A Champions League semi-final 2nd-leg meeting with German heavyweights Bayern Munich lies in wait, at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The two sides will head into proceedings on level terms, owing to a 2-2 stalemate at the Allianz Arena last week.

And hopeful of playing their part in guiding Los Blancos beyond Bayern later this evening will be the aforementioned pairing of Nacho, and Lucas Vázquez.

The former has been afforded a starting berth at the heart of defence, with the versatile Vázquez no doubt eager to be introduced off the bench at some point over the 90 minutes, to keep alive a fine recent stretch of individual form.

And keeping a close eye on both on Wednesday will be none other than Spain headmaster Luis de la Fuente.

That’s according to the aforementioned Relevo, who have confirmed that De la Fuente will be in attendance at the Bernabéu.

Owing to their respective recent performances, both Nacho and Vázquez have worked themselves back into contention for a place in the Spanish squad for this summer’s European Championships.

And their respective exploits against Bayern could yet prove decisive in hopes of as much.
