Pumas have completed the signing of Houston Dynamo star Coco Carrasquilla, the two clubs announced on Thursday.
The Mexican outfit will pay a club-record fee for the midfielder.
The 26-year-old has been a standout for the Dynamo since signing for the club in 2021.
Carrasquilla made 116 appearances in all competitions for Houston, helping to lead them to a U.S. Open Cup triumph 2023.
“We are proud of Coco’s development into one of the most important players in MLS and Concacaf,” president of soccer Pat Onstad said.
“As an organization, we are committed to developing players and helping them take the next step in their careers, and we respect Coco’s desire for a new challenge in a different league."
The Dynamo were knocked out of the MLS Cup Playoffs by the Seattle Sounders in 2024, with Carrasquilla having been sent off for violent conduct during the tie.
Meanwhile, Pumas have just kicked off their 2025 Clausura campaign in Liga MX.
