Pisilli: “I will never stop thanking De Rossi.” | OneFootball

Niccolo Pisilli did not hide his appreciation for former Roma manager and club legend Daniele De Rossi.

It was, after all, De Rossi who opposed Pisilli’s move away in the summer as the player had been approached by several clubs in Italy and abroad.

De Rossi insisted on keeping the 20-year-old midfielder at his orders.

Following this decision, the youngster went on to feature in several games for the Giallorossi, scoring the decisive winner in the match against Venezia.

Additionally, Pisilli received his first senior call-up with Italy and made his debut in the Nations League fixture with Belgium.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pisilli said, “A lot of things have happened to me in the last two months, I’m enjoying all these emotions.”

“De Rossi? We talk every now and then, he’s another person I’ll never stop thanking,” he added.
