After a decade of remarkable success with Real Madrid, Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has left the club this summer to join AC Milan as a free agent.Despite his departure, Modric’s ties with the Madrid club remain strong. Indeed, according to Defensa Central, Modrić has told Pérez of his desire to start a coaching career in the near future.The Merengues president responded positively, assuring Modric that the doors of Real Madrid will always be open to him to begin his journey at the youth academy—following in the footsteps of club legends such as Raúl González, Guti, Zinedine Zidane, and current head coach Xabi Alonso.Over the course of his illustrious career, Modric played 842 matches across all competitions, scored 89 goals, and delivered 140 assists, directly contributing to 229 goals.He remains one of the most iconic and decorated players in Real Madrid’s history, with 28 trophies to his name, and is still held in the highest regard by the fans.
