FC Barcelona continue to secure the futures of several of La Masia’s most promising young players, with Raul Exposito becoming the latest to sign a new contract with the club.

“The player Raul Exposito has signed, in the presence of Youth Football Director, Jose Ramon Alexanco, his contract to continue at the Club in his youth stage,” the statement from Barcelona read.

“Thank you, Exposito-Martinez family, for trusting in La Masia for the development of your son as a player and person.”

Exposito has been with the Barcelona youth academy since the Pre-Benjamin level. He also happens to be a Spain U-15 and U-16 international.

A centre-back by trade, the teenager has proven himself to be a promising and reliable player, standing out for his anticipation, positional awareness, and ball distribution.

Exposito is also capable of operating as a right-back and performing in that role effectively, thanks to his attacking instincts and speed.

Raul Exposito becomes the latest in a line of youth talents to sign new contracts with Barcelona, following in the footsteps of Pau Berges, Alvaro Gomez, Orian Goren, and Joan Ingles.

All of these talents have just completed their cadet stage and turned 16 – the age at which they can either sign their professional contracts or explore other opportunities. And they have opted to continue their journey at Barça.
