Official: Barcelona set for funds boost on the transfer front | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday received some altogether positive news on the financial front.

This comes amid confirmation that Jean-Clair Todibo’s transfer from OGC Nice to West Ham United will be made a permanent one.

Defender Todibo for his part spent this past season plying his trade on loan in east London, after the Irons beat out stiff competition for his signature.

Such developments were closely watched by those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Barcelona, with the Blaugrana boasting a 20% sell-on clause as part of any permanent transfer for the Frenchman.

Deco and co, in turn, will no doubt be smiling ear to ear on Friday.

As per a statement across West Ham’s website and social media channels:

‘We can confirm that Jean-Clair Todibo will complete a permanent transfer from OGC Nice on July 1.’

The fee for the operation is understood to be €40 million, meaning Barcelona can look forward to an €8 million cash injection at the beginning of July.
