Napoli and Milan Take an Interest in Bologna Superstar

Napoli and Milan are expected to make a run at Riccardo Orsolini following yet another remarkable campaign for the Bologna winger. He’s up to 11 goals thanks to a recent scoring binge, plus he has provided 4 assists. He has hit the net twice in the Coppa Italia.

According to AS (via OneFootball), the Rossoneri and the Partenopei are keeping tabs on the winger. His valuation is roughly €20M. He’s under contract with the Emilian side until 2027. He’s been with them since 2017 after blossoming at Ascoli and failing to break through at Atalanta. Juventus controlled his card for a few years but never kept him in their squad.

Orsolini has reached the double-digit threshold in three consecutive seasons, and Napoli and Milan will test the waters to see whether there’s a chance to lure him away from Bologna. The Felsinei will have their hands full fending off bids for their cornerstones.

He’s been the most productive Italian player in recent years, but he has been routinely snubbed by Luciano Spalletti, chiefly for tactical-related reasons.

Our Take on Orsolini, Milan, and Napoli

He’s fully deserving to make the jump to a top club, but Bologna are getting there, and he’s never shown signs of restlessness. The Rossoneri will likely sell Samuel Chukwueze, but Christian Pulisic is an iron man, and they won’t play in the Champions League. He’d be overqualified to be a mere deputy. They can patch up that role. Instead, he’d be a fine alternative to Matteo Politano in Campania. Plus, they are more likely to sign already established Italian players.
