Mika Biereth is likely to be available as AS Monaco host Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday. The Danish international came off with a pelvic ridge injury against AS Saint-Étienne last weekend, causing concern.
However, Biereth, who missed Tuesday’s training session, then returned to first-team training on Wednesday and also participated in Thursday’s session, attended by Get French Football News. “He trained today and it looks like he can play on Saturday. He is getting better day by day. We’ll see,” said Adi Hütter.
The news was not as good for Moatasem Al-Musrati. The Libyan midfielder, who joined Monaco on loan from Besiktas in January, suffered a calf injury against Saint-Étienne. Hütter has confirmed that Al-Musrati will not play again this season. His time at Monaco could be over with the midfielder only arriving on loan with an option to buy. Will that clause be activated with Eric Dier expected to join? Time will tell.
There are also question marks around Aleksandr Golovin’s future at Monaco. Hütter also confirmed that he will be out until the end of the Ligue 1 campaign.
