MN: ‘Something could change’ – Tomori likely to be cast aside by Milan in summer

Fikayo Tomori has been a regular in the defensive line for AC Milan for years, but it seems like the club are ready to move on, even if he is not.

Things have been rather peculiar for Tomori recently, however, the current situation is rather telling. Under Paulo Fonseca, disciplinary reasons resulted in him looking likely to leave the club in January, but then the Portuguese was sacked.

For Sergio Conceicao, the idea of selling the Englishman was ludicrous, but then the club accepted a bid on deadline day from Tottenham Hotspur, but the defender opted not to leave.

Since then, he has seemingly established himself within Conceicao’s backline, and with a complete defensive line available, the Portuguese seems likely to elect the Englishman to start against Torino tomorrow evening.

However, Milan News reports that the club are ready to part ways in the summer. According to the report, he has not recovered from his position in January, and has ‘lost position in Conceicao’s hierarchy’.

As a result of this, Malick Thiaw, Strahinja Pavlovic and Matteo Gabbia are preferred and are more likely to stay at the club, whilst an exit for the defender is likely if things do not improve.
