The arrival of Mario Hermoso could indicate greater tactical versatility for Daniele De Rossi and his team.

The Spaniard – who joined Roma as a free agent over a week ago – will soon see his share of playing time as De Rossi is already considering the several ways in which he can use his experience to the team’s advantage.

Hermoso, writes Il Messaggero, has frequently played in a three-man defense but has also the ability to fill in as a leftback.

This could come in handy as it would signify that Roma could also do without Angelino in that position from time to time.

Similarly, the arrival of Saelemaekers also offers De Rossi more options as the Belgian winger can easily play on both flanks.

With Hermoso filling in as a leftback, Saelemaekers could be deployed on the opposite side.

These two signings, writes the Italian newspaper, could be the key to Roma’s depth this year.
