Manchester United full back Diogo Dalot finally has something to celebrate after a season of misery at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old jetted back to his home land this weekend, to tie the knot with his partner Claudia Lopes.

As reported by The Sun, Dalot was snapped enjoying the day with his now wife as they ran through the traditions at an 18th century Portuguese palace.

The stunning venue reportedly costs €25,000 (£21,500) to rent for the day with the couple also splashing out over €10,000 on extras including dinner for their guests.

The pair have been engaged since 2023 after starting their relationship back in 2020 and have one child together.

Dalot shared some clips on his social media which included him signing and dancing with his friends as he partied into the night.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping the defender can bring some good vibes back to pre-season which gets underway in the coming weeks with United desperate to improve on last year’s disastrous campaign.

Dalot was almost ever present before his injury late in the season in what was a difficult twelve months for everyone at the club.

Amorim’s arrival in November meant a change in role for the Portugal international, who struggled to get to grips with the change in philosophy, along with the majority of his teammates.

However, it’s expected Dalot will continue at Old Trafford next season and fight for one of the wing back spots in Amorim’s starting XI.

The 26 year old will be heading into his seventh season in Premier League and will hope he can help United bridge the gap back to the top end of the division after the lowly finish of 15th registered last year.

The full back has made over 130 appearances since signing from Porto in the summer of 2018 and has nine goals to his name.
