In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are showing interest in Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume this summer. It has been claimed that the Red Devils have set their sights on the French talent.
Agoume had a solid campaign at the Andalusian club after he put in a series of impressive displays at the heart of their midfield. The French sensation registered one goal and picked up three assists in 37 appearances for Sevilla last season across all fronts.
The 23-year-old offered decent protection for his teammates at the back as he made 70 tackles, 30 blocks and 41 interceptions in La Liga. He even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 81.5% in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Sevilla will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, the Red Devils would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit the French midfield ace this off-season.

Agoume is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to make some important interceptions for his side at the centre of the park. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when required and is an accurate passer of the ball as well from midfield.
The French sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating a few goals for his team going forward. He mainly operates as a holding midfielder but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so.
We can expect Agoume to bring more bite and steel to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s midfield. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming years.
At 23, the future looks quite bright for Agoume as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, it is only logical for the Red Devils to move in for him before the end of this summer transfer window. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to maintain his good form in the .
