A new video has emerged this week ‘unboxing’ the new and currently unreleased 2024/25 Manchester City third shirt ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

Thus far, Manchester City have only released their 2024/25 home shirt, with the latest edition yet to be worn, and expected to be unveiled on the pitch by Pep Guardiola’s stars during the pre-season tour of the United States in July and August.

As per a club release in mid-May, the latest home kit has been “designed with Manchester in its fabric”, with the fresh sky-blue kit featuring an ‘0161’ detailing in the trim, in direct reference to the Greater Manchester region’s dialling code.

Manchester City have also confirmed, as perhaps expected, that the new home kit will be worn by all sides representing the Club, including the Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League sides managed by Pep Guardiola and Gareth Taylor.

Whilst Manchester City supporters watch and wait for what will come next from the club’s kit designers, a new video has surfaced showcasing the imminent third kit set to be used predominantly in cup competitions next season.

As per an ‘unboxing’ video released by Football Jerseys VZ on YouTube, Manchester City fans can get a detailed look at the 2024/25 maroon third kit, which will no doubt invoke some memories of the club’s 2012/13 away strip.

The maroon colour utilised by Manchester City and kit designers Puma is the first time Pep Guardiola’s side will be wearing the colour since the 2017/18 away kit released by former kit manufacturers Nike.

In the latest bold release from Puma, Manchester City players will be sporting a strip combining maroon with all-light-golden logos, with a large graphic design in a darker shade of maroon on the front, seemingly inspired by the club’s badge.

At present, it remains largely unknown as to when Manchester City will release the new third kit, however the wider expectation is that the club will look to maximise revenue potential from their pre-season tour of the USA by releasing ahead of the trip Stateside.

Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions face a four-match fixture list along the east coast of the country, taking on Celtic, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, and Chelsea, including an iconic meeting against the aforementioned Italian club in New York City.
