Manchester City reignite Maghnes Akliouche interest | OneFootball

At the start of the transfer window, it was expected that Maghnes Akliouche (23) would leave formative club AS Monaco. However, the Principality club’s demands saw interest cool, with elite clubs deterred by the €70m price tag. With the return of Ligue 1 football nearing, interest in the France youth international is growing once more.

Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Akliouche, however, it remains to be seen whether they would be able to agree a fee with their Monégasque counterparts. Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, have been interested in the forward all summer. As per Florian Plettenberg, he is seen as a “dream target” by the Bundesliga giants. That remains the case.

However, Plettenberg now reports that they face fresh competition. Manchester City, who have been linked with a move for Akliouche in the past, may reignite their interest. The Frenchman is an alternative to Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, who would be a much more expensive option.
