Forgotten Manchester City right-back Issa Kabore spent last season out on loan at Benfica and Werder Bremen. Kabore failed to make an impact at Benfica during the first half of last season before heading to Germany for the second half of last season to play at Werder Bremen. Looking at Manchester City’s squad there doesn’t appear to be a future for Kabore at City. It has now been reported that Issa Kabore is attracting interest from Galatasaray, Valencia and Rennes. It seems that City could benefit from the sale of Kabore this summer.

With Manchester City’s need for a right-back, it is a shame that Issa Kabore couldn’t quite make the grade.

It isn’t a major surprise to see that Manchester City will likely sell Issa Kabore this summer. The young right-back has spent the past two seasons out on loan. He did impress at Luton Town during the 23/24 season. Kabore showed that he can make the grade at a high level. Unfortunately, he didn’t hit the same heights at Benfica or Werder Bremen last season. But Kabore is a talented player who should have a long career in Europe.

The unfortunate part is that Manchester City need a quality right-back. It is a shame that Issa Kabore isn’t quite up to the level that City require. If he were it would be the ideal solution for City to find a competent right-back form within. But that isnt to be. Instead City should profit from the sale of Kabore which is the best move for the club and Issa Kabore.
