Serie A giants Napoli are now very close to sealing a double move for RB Leipzig’s Eljif Elmas and Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund.
Corriere dello Sport report that Napoli worked closely yesterday to make key progress in the two moves.
Sporting director Giovanni Manna and owner Aurelio de Laurentiis stayed together until late evening, talking with Manchester United and Rasmus Hojlund‘s agents to finalize a deal that’s now almost done.
The Dane is already ready to fly to Italy today and undergo a medical at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome before signing the contract. A definitive agreement between the two clubs was needed. Yesterday was crucial and things have moved in the right direction.
The striker will arrive on an initial €5 million loan with an option to buy set at €40 million, which becomes mandatory if Napoli qualify for the Champions League, and a possible 10% interest on any future resale
The same applies for the Elmas situation, with the midfielder set to arrive in Italy today to undergo a medical and then seal a return to the Partenopei.
