Sir Jim Ratcliffe-led INEOS have now been handed the reins at Manchester United and they are finding out how hard it is going to be to improve the side’s squad this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are far from the most attractive club Europe’s biggest players are looking to join, owing to their failure to offer Champions League football for the forthcoming season.

Further, United’s aim to comply with the Profitability and Sustainability Rules of the Premier League has tightened their budget, making the transfer window even trickier for the club’s hierarchy.

Amid this financial predicament, which has the potential to stifle multiple transfer windows for United, the Premier League’s most popular club could receive a much-needed financial boost.

According to Football Insider, United could register north of £32 million in increased revenue through opportunities in the US market.

The US is set to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and in recent years the country has witnessed a significant rise in interest in European football, including the Premier League.

The Football Insider report says the Old Trafford outfit “stand to gain the most” from Premier League clubs exploring ways to monetise the American market.

United are set to return to Stateside for yet another pre-season in the coming weeks and are scheduled to face Arsenal, Real Betis, and Liverpool.

This should further help the club in their bid to attract more fans based in the US and eventually capitalise on new revenue streams.

The 20-time English champions, however, already boast a significant commercial appeal, which should reportedly help them earn up to £32.2 million in extra revenue.

Only Real Madrid (£48.1m) and Paris Saint-Germain (£44.6m) are expected to take home more revenue from the US market than United.

Meanwhile, INEOS are also exploring other ways to drive up revenues. According to The Athletic, United are considering selling the naming rights to a refurbished Old Trafford or a newly-built stadium to raise more capital.
