Tuttosport newspaper claims Manchester City have sent a new offer for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz: a loan with option to buy for €35m.

Premier League giants Manchester City have sent a new offer to Juventus for their midfielder Douglas Luiz.

According to Tuttosport, Pep Guardiola’s side have proposed a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy for €35m.

Douglas Luiz has been struggling for playing time at Juventus since completing a €50m transfer from Aston Villa last summer, but the Serie A giants are unconvinced by the Man City offer.

According to the report, the Bianconeri are only interested in a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to buy tied to ‘easy’ targets.

Douglas Luiz is under contract with Juventus until June 2029. He has collected 18 appearances with the Old Lady this term, but he has yet to score or assist.

He is expected to start in a Champions League match against Benfica tonight.

Manchester City remain interested in Douglas Luiz’s teammate Andrea Cambiaso and according to several Italian sources, they’ll send an offer to Juventus in the coming hours.
