Liverpool are set to deal with an offer for a £70m star. The Reds are crossing their fingers all will go to plan.

Liverpool announced the arrival of Milos Kerkez on Thursday, bringing that transfer saga to a close. Everyone was fully aware the deal was done - the Reds simply delayed the announcement.

That's their fourth summer singing, then, as Kerkez joins Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi at Anfield. He's compete with Andy Robertson at left-back, hopefully overtaking the Scot and succeeding him as the first-choice option.

That's certainly the plan, anyway.

But Liverpool aren't done here and will look to strike more deals in the transfer window. We're not even in July, after all, and there's plenty of time left to make things happen.

That will mean sales as well as purchases. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher have both departed already, while Jarell Quansah is expected to complete a move to Bayer Leverkusen shortly.

And now there's another transfer that looks incredibly close. The offer is on the way.

Darwin Nunez to Napoli

The Telegraph reports that Napoli are currently readying their offer for Darwin Nunez. There's no suggestion of what that bid might be, just that Liverpool hope to get around £70m for their no.9.

This follow several reports in Italy suggesting that Napoli were considering an offer somewhat near that price. It's also been claimed that Nunez himself is privately talking about things as certain.

Everyone, then, expects Nunez to leave Liverpool for Napoli as things stand. It's just about ironing out those details and, with any luck, securing a large fee for the Uruguayan.

They rejected an offer of around £70m back in January, of course. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed Al-Hilal tried to sign Nunez but Liverpool weren't willing to part with a key first-team player while competing for several trophies.
