Lille’s Edon Zhegrova celebrates scoring against Lyon with nod to UK rapper | OneFootball

Edon Zhegrova’s (25) run of five games without a goal came to an end with a strike against Olympique Lyonnais in Lille OSC’s 4-3 loss tonight. It looked as if the Kosovian winger had put Lille into a commanding lead when the substitute scored the second of the evening in a delightful individual goal.

Zhegrova collected the ball on the edge of the box where he skipped past the Lyon defence. His shot was struck low and slipped through the crowd of onrushing defenders catching the goalkeeper Anthony Lopes (33) unaware and rooted to his spot.

Despite not starting the game, the winger had a clear celebration in mind as he darted towards the goal where he picked up a black mask given to him by the UK rapper M Huncho. Zhegrova and his Lille teammate Leny Yoro (18) had been pictured with the rapper recently and it was more than a small nod to the musician.
