Legendary former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello feels that Inter Milan are a “well-oiled machine.”

Capello gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews. He also predicted that Juventus’s secret this season could be their defensive record.

Inter have just about gotten their season off to the start that they’d hoped to.

After an early stumble drawing away to Genoa, the Nerazzurri have found their groove.

In their second match of the campaign, Inter beat Lecce. It was more of a businesslike victory than an emphatic one. But the Nerazzurri looked convincing and in control.

Then, Inter headed into the international break on a major high note.

The Nerazzurri demolished Atalanta 4-0.

This was the first match between two teams from last season’s Serie A top four. And Inter produced an emphatic performance with a one-sided result.

It looks as though Inter are picking up where they left off last season, when they won the title by a margin of nearly twenty points.

Fabio Capello: “Inter Milan Are A Well-Oiled Machine”

Former Milan, Real Madrid, and England coach Capello argued that “It’s no coincidence that Simone Inzaghi’s team have the Scudetto on their chest.”

“Inter have a deep squad,” he continued.

“They virtually have two top-level teams in their squad.”

“And above all,” Capello said. “Unlike the other big teams they start again as an already well-oiled machine.”

“Everyone already knows what to do and when to do it,” Capello said of Inter’s familiar tactics under Simone Inzaghi.

As far as the Serie A title race, Capello commented that “It’s too early to say who the main rivals for Inter will be.”

“Whether it’s Juventus or another team.”

“But there’s one important consideration. Juve have conceded very little to their opponents, and are the only team in the league yet to concede a goal.”

“That detail is always very important in Italy,” Capello said.

“Thiago Motta had already proved to be a great coach at organizing his team defensively at Bologna,” he added. “So I don’t think it’s a coincidence.”
