Jose Mourinho ‘had a zoom meeting’ with an attacker who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves, as he looks to tempt him to Fenerbahce, according to journalist Rob Dorsett.

The Istanbul side could not topple rivals Galatasaray at the top of the Turkish Super Lig in the recent season and now Mourinho is under big pressure to deliver next term.

Fenerbahce are keen to support the Portuguese in the transfer market and a number of players, including Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, are on the radar; Walker is also a target for Everton.

Nice hitman Evann Guessand is also wanted, but Fenerbahce face competition from Premier League pair Wolves and Tottenham.

Wolves are even suggested to have lodged an offer for the Nice man, as they step up their pursuit.

Mourinho though is upping the ante and he had a meeting via zoom with Guessand on Monday.

That follows on from Fenerbahce making a bid of £26m for his services.

It is suggested that price point could be too high for Wolves, but the Molineux outfit have already had two big sales this summer.

Matheus Cunha has joined Manchester United, while Rayan Ait-Nouri was sold to their city rivals Manchester City.

Tottenham meanwhile remain in the market for attacking additions, despite signing Mathys Tel on a permanent deal.

They continue to be keen on Bryan Mbeumo, but he has given his preference to a move to Manchester United.

Guessand could be viewed as a possible alternative to the Brentford attacker, however if Spurs do want him then they may need to firm up their interest given the big push Fenerbahce are now making to take him to Turkey.
