Karsdorp, Tammy Abraham shut down comments on social media after heavy criticism from fans | OneFootball

Rick Karsdorp’s costly mistake and Tammy Abraham’s last minute miss in the recent defeat to Bayer Leverkusen were met with reat dissatisfaction from Roma fans.

The two players were at the center of some of the most outrageous episodes on Thursday night, eventually leading Roma to end their unbeaten streak at home in Europe.

In addition to gifting Leverkusen their first goal of the night, Karsdorp’s attitude during his substitution did not go down well with Giallorossi supporters: the Dutch fullback mockingly applauded the crowd who booed and whistled him and headed straight to the locker room.

After the match, the player was targeted with insults on social media. As reported by Il Tempo, this led to Karsdrop limiting comments on all social media platforms.

Similarly, Tammy Abraham was forced to close his comments section due to missing a wide open goal near the final minutes of the match.

According to the newspaper, both players could be faced with limited playing time from here on out and the club will consider next steps to take in the summer transfer window with regards to their future.
