Juventus are making clear moves to reshape their attacking line, but the club’s business in the market is far from finished, according to Tutto Juve, Spazio J, La Stampa, and Bianconera News.
Jonathan David’s arrival from Lille has added a proven goal scorer to the squad. The Canadian forward signed a five-year deal and arrives on the back of an outstanding season, providing 25 goals and 12 assists in 49 appearances. David stands out for his consistency—he found double figures in each Ligue 1 campaign since joining Lille, recording 87 goals in 178 league appearances. Club sources note that among Ligue 1 players since 2020, only Kylian Mbappé has bettered David’s output. His conversion rate of 23% ranks just behind Wissam Ben Yedder and Alexandre Lacazette among regular shooters. The numbers speak for themselves: David’s record in taking high-quality chances and his involvement in build-up play put him in the upper bracket among European forwards.
While David plugs a gap up front, Juventus’ transfer plans extend well beyond his arrival. Journalist Gianni Balzarini stressed, “David is an excellent signing, but Juventus will not stop at the Canadian; the club’s plans are to aim even higher.” Director Damien Comolli and the club hierarchy are said to be eyeing further high-profile additions, with contact already opened with Victor Osimhen’s representatives. Juventus have reportedly asked Osimhen to wait as they assess their options, underlining their intent to add another marquee striker. Talks are also ongoing with other forwards, including Marcus Thuram, whose situation at Inter is being monitored.
Dusan Vlahovic’s future remains unresolved and is central to the ongoing transfer activity. Despite approaches from clubs such as Galatasaray and teams in Saudi Arabia, the Serbian striker has rebuffed all proposals not involving a current European elite side, as revealed by Sky Sport’s Manuele Baiocchini. Juventus, for their part, are open to a range of outcomes, including a “bridge” contract extension that would reduce Vlahovic’s current high salary via a longer-term deal. However, a sale remains possible if an offer aligns with the player’s expectations and the club’s financial aims. Club officials are set for key discussions with Vlahovic’s agent in the coming days to determine the way forward.
Regardless of Vlahovic’s decision, Juventus’ transfer business is designed to proceed independently from his future. The club are determined to reshape their squad, ensure financial sustainability, and provide new manager Igor Tudor with a more incisive front line—David is the first step, but not the last.
