Manchester City’s Jack Grealish continues to face transfer speculation from across Europe, with the latest reporting emerging from Italy tying him to Napoli interest.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a potential move away from the Etihad this summer, with questions lingering over his long-term role under Pep Guardiola having endured a frustrating 2024/25 campaign disrupted by injury and inconsistent form.

While Premier League sides such as Tottenham, Everton, and West Ham have reportedly been exploring loan deals, the latest reports from Italy suggest Grealish may be entertaining a new direction altogether – with Serie A champions Napoli among the clubs interested.

Jack Grealish’s flair, profile, and commercial appeal make him a natural candidate to fill a void on and off the pitch, and while there has been no concrete bid from Napoli, and City are yet to receive any formal offer, the player’s decision to continue off-season preparations in southern Italy has reignited speculation.

As reported by Italian media, Grealish took time out to speak with fans while training on the Amalfi Coast, having flown into the area earlier this week to continue solo training and spotted on football pitches in Ravello – a town in the Campania region of Italy.

Speaking to Radio Marte, as translated and relayed by The Mirror, municipal councillor of Scala, Emanuele Falcone claimed the Manchester City forward hinted he could soon be moving to Serie A champions Napoli when quizzed by onlookers.

“Grealish has booked our sports facility for the whole week, from Monday to Thursday,” Falcone detailed. “On Friday, he might pop over to Naples. He trained very seriously, like a true professional.”

Falcone continued to detail, “Lots of fans stopped him for a photo and asked him if he really could come to Napoli? Him? Never a denial, just laughter and winks.

“In fact, he let slip a joke, ‘You already have [Kevin] De Bruyne in Napoli.'”

From Manchester City’s side, the general stance remains that a loan exit is more feasible than a permanent departure this summer, due to Jack Grealish’s age, contract situation, and significant wage packet.

But should Napoli escalate their interest into a concrete offer – and especially if it included a sizeable loan fee and salary coverage – Etihad Stadium officials may be forced into a serious conversation about the England international’s short-term future.

What remains clear is that Grealish is at a crossroads in his City career. With fierce competition for attacking places and younger talents pushing into the frame, another disrupted season could see his stock fall further.
