Roma head coach Ivan Juric discussed tomorrow night’s match with Dynamo Kyiv in an interview with Sky Sport.
“Since I arrived and also with Daniele the team has played many good games, but when you have to win you draw and when you have to draw you lose, it means that, as a mentality, we are not in good shape,” Juric remarked when asked about the team’s difficult moment.
“We must stop being satisfied with the performances. I expect to see anger on the pitch in order to overturn a situation that, since last year, has been difficult.”
“There are things that bothered me, like the goal against Athletic, against Monza but also against Inter. As for commitment, we are in good shape, but we need to be nastier, like the fact that we shoot a lot and score little. We need to be meaner.”
“Dybala will not play from the start but I want to underline his performance against Inter, exemplary, even too much in some situations, he is an example. He played a great physical performance, I am happy, now we need to be intelligent and let him play the right amount of minutes.”
“We are coming off a bad streak of results, in 6 games we’ve had 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats and the results could have been different, we were lacking in the decisive moments.”
“Evidently, certain things are not going well, you need more concentration, hunger, play smarter.”
“In terms of defending and attacking I see positive things but this fundamental aspect is missing. When you play well, you have to win, when you have to draw you draw. Surely if you have to win you cannot lose, it is not acceptable.”
