The official announcement of Tomas Palacios to Inter Milan is now imminent as the club has finally resolved the ultimate knot.

The Nerazzurri have identified the 21-year-old as the right profile to bolster their backline.

They have been searching for a young left-footed central defender for several months, especially following Tajon Buchanan’s injury which forced Simone Inzaghi to deploy Carlos Augusto on the wing once more. This left Alessandro Bastoni without a clear understudy.

Nevertheless, the Italian champions managed to find an agreement to sign Palacios.

The Argentine is a youth product of Talleres who exploded on the scene this season while on loan at Independiente Rivadavia.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri have solved the issue, and they will be able to officially confirm the young defender’s capture.

Palacios will be the fourth addition to Simone Inzaghi’s first team this summer. He will join Piotr Zielinski, Josep Martinez and Mehdi Taremi.
