📸 Hugo Ekitiké gets PSG level against Lens in controversial fashion

PSG fell behind to an early goal away at Lens, but minutes later, Hugo Ekitiké got the league leaders back on level terms in a controversial style.

Fábien Ruiz floated his pass out wide to Nordi Mukiele, who cut the ball back across the goal for Ekitiké to seemingly beat the Lens goalkeeper, Brice Samba, to the ball and knock it into the net for the equaliser.

Replays showed that Samba has both hands on the ball at the moment when the PSG forward made his first contact.

However, after a VAR review, it was judged that the Lens shot-stopper wasn’t fully in control of the ball and the goal was allowed to stand.

📸 - Samba says he was holding the ball in his hands before Ekitike removed it, but the goal stands.
