There seems to have been a lot of internal discussion within FC Barcelona this summer. The arrival of new signings remains delayed, as the club is working to improve their financial situation. However, there is a different level of priority of each kind of target at Barcelona.
The most important opinion on that matter, however, remains that of Hansi Flick. After all, the German coach is the person who will be leading the squad into action next season and he will need the right profiles to do that effectively.
Keeping that in mind, alongside the club’s very obvious financial limitations this summer, Flick is aware that he cannot ask for too much. Still, the Barcelona coach reportedly just has one major demand this summer.

According to the latest information provided by SPORT, Flick is still waiting for the arrival of a new left-winger this summer. He is still pushing for that particular signing, and is apparently okay with the club not reinforcing other positions as long as he gets that new winger.
Previously, reinforcing the full-back position was also something that Barcelona was considering. Moreover, even with market opportunities being available on that front, the club has so far made little to no advances towards that end like they did with the arrival of Joan Garcia.
However, Flick is aware of the club’s financial restrictions at the moment and he is more than happy with his current squad that performed exceptionally well last season. Still, he wants the club to bring in a new left-winger this summer as his only major transfer demand.
He has already reportedly given his green light for the signing of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, whereas the pursuit of Liverpool star Luis Diaz remains alive as well. Ultimately, however, it is expected that a new left-winger will arrive at Barcelona this summer but Hansi Flick will have to wait a bit longer.
