An away win at Crystal Palace made it successive victories on the road for Brentford.
Yoane Wissa (ยฃ6.3m) forced an early save, but it was Bryan Mbeumo (ยฃ7.8m) who opened proceedings. The Cameroon international has now scored 14 goals in the league this season and looks set to be a popular ahead of Sundayโs home clash against strugglers Tottenham.
Over 164,000 managers have brought in the midfielder so far ahead of Gameweek 24. Only four players have attracted more new managers this week and three of those have two fixtures in Gameweek 24. Mbeumo scored against Spurs in the reverse of this fixture, and he has four goals and an assist in his last three meetings with them.
Meanwhile, Mikkel Damsgaard (ยฃ5.0m) created four chances at Selhurst Park. His 80th-minute in-swinging cross was met with a powerful Kevin Schade (ยฃ5.1m) header to double the lead.
Unfortunately, goalkeeper Mark Flekken (ยฃ4.4m) wasnโt quite able to secure a clean sheet for his one million owners in Gameweek 23. However, he collected his 28th save point of the season; this is 11 more than any other goalkeeper has recorded this season.
After denying Jean-Philippe Mateta (ยฃ7.4m) early on, the Dutchman made a few comfortable long-range stops. Thomas Frankโs side has conceded a league-high 429 attempts but, crucially, each of them averages just 0.091 Expected Goals (xG). Only Nottingham Forest and Arsenal have it marginally lower.
The Beesโ backline is worth investing in for upcoming fixtures, particularly the goalkeeper. Flekkenโs 106 saves is 32 more than the next best - Robert Sรกnchez (ยฃ4.7m) - who has 72. In fact, nobody else in Europeโs five major leagues has over 76 of them.
Elsewhere, the latest Bournemouth midfielder to net a hat-trick was Dango Ouattara (ยฃ5.0m). That brought in 21 points, while the previous weekโs hero, Justin Kluivert (ยฃ5.7m), continued his points hauls with 13 in Gameweek 23.
Alexander Isak (ยฃ9.5m) and Dominik Szoboszlai (ยฃ6.3m) also returned 13 points. Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Lisandro Martรญnez (ยฃ4.4m) secured a goal and a clean sheet for 15.
500,000 managers chose to buy Cody Gakpo (ยฃ7.6m) in advance of Double Gameweek 24; the Dutchman rewarded them with a season-high two goals, an assist, and 16 points.
Led by Gakpo, the two upcoming matches for Liverpool and Everton ensure that Merseyside is dominating this weekโs transfers. Four of the five most-bought belong there, as the teams face Bournemouth and Leicester, respectively, before meeting at Goodison Park within the same Gameweek. Itโs this seasonโs first double.
Many are buying Jordan Pickford (ยฃ5.0m) because Everton picked up their eighth shutout of the season on Saturday. Also, since Gameweek 6 ended, no side has conceded fewer goals (13).
The other exciting development is that FPLโs new Assistant Manager chip can start being activated from this point. By purchasing a real-life boss, you can gain further points based on how his team does.
A nailed-on captain ahead of most deadlines, itโs especially tough to oppose Mohamed Salah (ยฃ13.7m) in Double Gameweek 24.
Far ahead of everyone else for points (222) and attacking returns (32), heโll have twice the amount of time to score and assist. The bigger question is whether to use Triple Captain on him here, if itโs still available.
Alternative armband contenders are Isak at home to Fulham and Cole Palmer (ยฃ11.3m), welcoming West Ham to Stamford Bridge.
