Hansi Flick said his goodbyes to Montjuic in the final home game of the season, albeit with a 2-3 loss to Villarreal.
Flick wrapped up a memorable season at the Estadi Olimpic with three major titles in the bag—the La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
The celebrations that followed at Montjuic were heartfelt, filled with applause, chants and a clear message of unity between the team and the fans. Flick allowed the players to enjoy the spotlight.
He joined them at the centre of the pitch, forming a tight circle, a symbolic gesture that underlined the togetherness within the squad. Speaking to DAZN (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the German coach said, “They’ve done an incredible job and they deserve this celebration.”
What stood out the most this season was the strong bond between the fans and the players. “Throughout the season, I’ve felt the connection,” Flick added.

“The way we played, the matches we won, the style and the spirit—everything built a special relationship with our supporters.”
While this chapter ends, a new one is already on the horizon. Barcelona are set to return to the brand-new Spotify Camp Nou next season.
Flick is not resting on his laurels either. “I feel like next year we have to work harder and harder to win more titles,” he said. “I want more titles. Our goal is to improve and evolve. I feel very happy here.”
Asked about standout performers, Flick remained focused on the team as a whole. “It’s not easy to pick just one or two. Lamine, Pedri, De Jong, Iñigo, Raphinha, Cubarsí… so many contributed,” he said.
The coach praised their mentality and leadership, highlighting the close friendships within the team.
