Legendary figure Luis Figo warns Inter ‘are not only about defending’ and could take the Treble, but it is Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Paris Saint-Germain who he tips to take the Champions League.
The season is going into its closing stages now and we have the schedule for the Champions League semi-finals.
Inter take on Barcelona, while Arsenal will fight it out with Paris Saint-Germain for a chance to take the trophy.
As he was attending the Laureus Awards in Madrid, former Real Madrid star Luis Figo was asked by reporters who he tipped to win the Champions League this season.
“In my view, Paris Saint-Germain,” he replied.
“They have a good consistency of results and excellent physical fitness at the moment. It’s difficult to say for certain, I don’t feel that I can make a really strong prediction on who will win the Champions League.”

Figo was also asked about the other semi-final between Barcelona and Inter, after the Nerazzurri eliminated Bayern Munich.
“They are two teams with very different styles. However, anyone who thinks that Inter are only about defending is making a big mistake. It’s true Simone Inzaghi’s side are solid in defence and conceded very few Champions League goals, but they also have players capable of making the difference.
“You need to analyse it more carefully, not just limit yourself to saying they are just a defensive team. ‘Inter could win the Treble this season.”
That is increasingly in doubt, as their 1-0 defeat to Bologna on Sunday saw them caught at the top of the Serie A table by Antonio Conte’s Napoli.
Inter are also going to face Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday evening, after the first leg ended 1-1.
When it was put to Figo that Barcelona could also conceivably win the Treble, the former Real Madrid man shrugged.
“Well, it’s a possibility, isn’t it?”
