Paris Saint-Germain assured their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League despite a nail-biting 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park on Tuesday night. PSG progressed 5-4 on aggregate having won the first leg 3-1 at the Parc des Princes and having at one point held a 5-1 aggregate lead before a collapse in Birmingham.
Les Parisiens will therefore face either Arsenal or Real Madrid in the next round of the Champions League. It is the former that hold a 3-0 lead heading to the Bernabeu. A preference for PSG manager Luis Enrique? “I have no preference. Tomorrow (Wednesday), I will make the most of the match with a meal and a small beer. It will be either an English or a Spanish team, but whichever, it will be special,” said the Spaniard in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
PSG will play the first leg of their semi-final away from home on either Tuesday, 29th or Wednesday, 30th April before the return leg a week later at the Parc des Princes.
