Former Inter Milan midfielder Radja Nainggolan feels that Marcelo Brozovic was his “hardest-partying” teammate.

The Belgian looked back on his time with the Croat on the Gurulandia podcast, via FCInterNews. He also opened up about his “sad” exit from Roma to join Inter.

During his time in Italian football, Nainggolan gained quite a reputation for his lifestyle off the pitch.

The Belgian was also an accomplished player on the pitch.

Particularly with Roma, Nainggolan was one of Serie A’s top midfielders for several seasons.

But then there was also the midfielder’s famous love of partying.

And it was a similar story with Brozovic. The Croat certainly also grew into one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

Brozovic was the player who set the tone for Inter in midfield after he became a holding midfielder. He had a methodical and precise style of play.

But off of the pitch, “methodical and precise” would not really describe how the Croatian international lived during his time as a Nerazzurri player.

Of Brozovic, Nainggolan said that “At the discotheque, he was the hardest-partying.”

“At the end of the evening, we no longer recognized each other,” he joked of his former Inter teammate.

Meanwhile, Nainggolan also spoke about his decision to leave Roma and join Inter. He hinted at a role that coach Eusebio Di Francesco played in his exit.

“There was a coach who made me feel important there,” he said.

“But in the end he wanted to sell me, without ever telling me anything.”

Nainggolan said that “I didn’t want to stay at a place with someone I didn’t see eye to eye with.”

“So I chose to leave,” he explained his decision to join Inter in 2018.

“If I’d known that he’d be gone in six months I probably would have stayed at Roma,” Nainggolan admitted.

Nainggolan said that “At first, people misunderstood when I said that I was happy to be at Inter, but even more sad to have left Roma.”
