Elche open transfer talks with Manchester United | OneFootball

La Liga newcomers Elche are locked in ongoing negotiations with Premier League giants Manchester United ahead of the transfer deadline.

That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Tyrell Malacia as the subject of these talks.

Defender Malacia is for his part fresh off a return to base at Old Trafford earlier this summer.

After the left-back spent the 2nd half of the 2024/25 campaign plying his trade on loan in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven, the Eredivisie champions opted against making his signing permanent.

Not in the plans of Ruben Amorim in Manchester for the season ahead, however, Malacia is expected to be on the move once again before the window is out.

And as alluded to above, late this week, a surprise suitor have positioned themselves firmly in the running for his signature.

As per a report from The Athletic:

‘Elche are in talks with Manchester United over a deal for Tyrell Malacia. The deal will most likely be a loan but the Spanish side say they are still evaluating the structure of a potential agreement.’
