Eintracht Frankfurt have seemingly wrapped up their replacement for Omar Marmoush, announcing the signing of Marseille forward Elye Wahi Friday evening.
Marmoush departed for Manchester City earlier this week for a whopping reported fee of €70 million, and Frankfurt appear to have put those funds to good use.
The German outfit have announced the deal for the Wahi, who has four goal contributions in 13 Ligue 1 games this season.
The French youth international has signed a deal with the club through 2030 after they reportedly shelled out up to €22 million for him — a club-record deal.
"We have been looking at Elye Wahi for a long time and we are delighted that he will be playing for Eintracht Frankfurt from now on," Sporting director Markus Krösche said. "
Elye is a fast-paced striker with good boxing skills and a strong goal instinct. He is a young player with potential for development and we are convinced of his qualities. At the same time, we are giving him the time he needs to adapt."
