The 21-year-old defender is joining third-division club FC Hansa Rostock.

Dario Gebuhr joined the Eintracht academy from the SV Wehen Wiesbaden youth section in 2017, aged 14. The defender then progressed through all the age groups in Frankfurt up to the U21 team, which was reintroduced in 2022. In the 2022/23 season, the Wiesbaden native led the U19 side as captain in seven UEFA Youth League games and also made his professional and Bundesliga debut in the first team’s away match against Borussia Dortmund on 22 April 2023. The centre-back made a total of 142 competitive appearances in an Eintracht shirt. Gebuhr had another year left on his first-team contract.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung said: “Over the last seven years, Dario has made the journey of a young player into men’s football in impressive fashion. He was a key player for the U21s and has now absolutely earned a long-term move in professional football. His development over the last two seasons in particular has paved the way for him, for which we wish him continued success.”
