Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi reacted to the Giallorossi’s stunning win at the death with Udinese.

The Italian manager spoke to the media after the game in his post-match presser at the Dacia Arena.

“Before the match I talked to the guys, I said jokingly that I had no idea what I had to do, I had never prepared a game of twenty minutes.”

“I knew that probably playing with so many attackers, maybe after just a minute I had to make changes to give more balance or maybe someone had to warm up so as not to even play, but there was effort from all the boys.”

“I put in Stephan because he was more offensive, but I waited, because last time Udinese were a bit tired especially on the flanks, but today they were lively.”

“My celebration at the end? I’m usually more composed, in fact I’m sorry to celebrate like this in Udine, a club that has always been very friendly and has behaved well, nothing against them.”

“But the goal was important in an important match, and it was a demonstration of a strong team. We wanted this win tonight and were rewarded by pure luck.”

“I put Angelino in the line-up in order to get the maximum number of crosses in, I had thought of an even more offensive match but then Udinese’s physical preparation intimidated us a bit.”
