Maxime Esteve and Rav van den Berg are both on Palace's radar, as they prepare to replace Marc Guehi.
Crystal Palace are eyeing moves for Burnley centre-back Maxime Esteve and Middlesbrough starlet Rav van den Berg ahead of the summer.
This is according to The Sun, who believe one of the pair could come in to replace Marc Guehi, who has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park fairly consistently in recent times.
Guehi's stock will have risen after his displays for England in the Euros last year, with his contributions helping the Three Lions to book a place in the final of the competition in Germany.
He wasn't able to guide them to the trophy in the end, but he still did well and made Palace proud with his excellent performances under Gareth Southgate.
But the Eagles could become the victims of their own success with Guehi, with the central defender attracting plenty of interest.
This could have a knock-on effect for a Championship team, with Oliver Glasner's side enjoying success in the EFL market before with the likes of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, with the latter now plying his trade at Bayern Munich.
Two more players from the English second tier are now believed to be on their radar.
According to The Sun, Palace know they will have to cash in on Guehi during the summer, with the player attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
With this in mind, they are looking at potential replacements, and both Esteve and van den Berg have been "earmarked" as potential centre-back options, with the club having the pair on their radar.
AC Milan's Strahinja Pavlovic is no longer an option, so the English second-tier duo are now targets.
Boro's Van den Berg has been linked with a move to Selhurst Park before - and with the Dutchman thriving at times for Michael Carrick's side - it's no surprise that he has been linked again.
At just 20, the player is already showing his class, and is developing very nicely.
Esteve, meanwhile, has been part of one of Europe's best defences, keeping more than 20 clean sheets for the Clarets this season.
He was thought to be the subject of a bid from Tottenham Hotspur during the winter window, so Palace may have to fend off interest from elsewhere if they want to recruit the Frenchman.
Guehi is an exceptional player - and will be a real miss when he ends up leaving Palace.
Establishing himself as a vital figure at Selhurst Park, he can be extremely proud of how he's developed in the English capital and what he's been able to do to enhance the Eagles.
But a summer exit looks inevitable now - and Palace need to have one eye on the future.
Whoever comes in will have big shoes to fill - and the Premier League outfit must keep that in mind when targeting his replacement.
