Cody Gakpo has credited Liverpool for his incredible form at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands ahead of this Saturday's quarter-final with Turkey.
The 25-year-old has been exceptional in Germany, grabbing three goals and an assist for the Dutch as they reached the last eight of the competition.
Gakpo arguably saved his best performance of the tournament for the last 16 clash with Romania earlier in the week, firing the Oranje in front with a near-post strike and showing brilliant persistence to set up Donyell Malen during a 3-0 victory.

One key difference for Gakpo has been that national team boss Ronald Koeman has used him as a left winger, the position he played most frequently with PSV Eindhoven before moving to Anfield.
His excellent performances on the flank have certainly handed new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot the blueprint for how to get the best out of the forward.
Speaking in a recent press conference, Gakpo admitted that his impressive end-of-season form with Liverpool gave him the perfect boost ahead of Euro 2024.
"Those moments are normal for a player, it's not always going very well and going the way you like," said Gakpo.
"Sometimes you have a spell [where] things don't go your way but, to be honest, I have a great team at Liverpool, great people that always are there for me and for everybody when you have those moments. They kept believing in me, kept helping me with everything.

"I think the last, I don't know how many, games of the season at the club I played also good games. I just took that with me and kept working very hard. I'm very happy that I can be of value for the team."
Gakpo will meet his Liverpool teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez in the Euro 2024 semi-final should the Dutch beat Turkey and England beat Switzerland at the quarter-final stage.
The Netherlands haven't won the Euros since 1988, but Gakpo's brilliance is keeping hopes alive of an unexpected triumph.
