Athletic Club’s Nico Williams is a new name linked to Paris Saint-Germain as the capital club plots how to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappé, who has joined Real Madrid.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, and PSG are keen on the 21-year-old. However, it’s Barcelona attempting to make an aggressive move to win the race.

Football España recently reported a significant internal push at Barcelona to sign Williams despite the financial challenges involved. As a result, they might be willing to include a player that helps offset some of the cost.

According to SPORT, Barcelona are planning to make a second bid for Nico Williams, offering €65 million, including bonuses and adding Iñigo Martinez to the deal. However, Athletic Club are likely to turn it down.

A move for Williams is not anticipated to be a simple or cheap deal to get done, and that’s caused uncertainty among some parties. The 21-year-old played 37 matches across all competitions last season for Athletic Club, scoring nine goals and registering 19 assists.
