He was singled out during Real Madrid’s Champions League victory over Stuttgart on Tuesday, although it has been revealed that he was nursing an injury during that match.

Still, it’s noted that Diario AS that Carlo Ancelotti’s patience with Tchouameni could be running thin. The Italian could drop him once Eduardo Camavinga returns from his knee injury lay-off, which should happen in the coming weeks.

Ancelotti is desperate to have Camavinga back from injury, and when he is fit again, the likelihood is that Tchouameni would be the one to be dropped – given that Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham are nailed starters in midfield.

The pressure is building on Tchouameni. Real Madrid continue to trust him, but he has to start increasing his level in the coming weeks if he is to remain as a safe starter in the line-up.
