A highly-regarded member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week made the call to break his partnership with super agent Jorge Mendes.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández as the player in question.

Youngster Dro took his place centre stage in the chatter surrounding Barcelona over the final weeks of the recently-completed campaign, after it was revealed that the 17-year-old had been called up to first-team training by Hansi Flick.

Fernández is a versatile attacker capable of filling a number of positions across the frontline, considered a potential star in the making behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

So highly is he thought of by Flick and his coaching staff, that the Spaniard is expected to be called up for senior duties once again in pre-season.

As much will come, though, with Dro under new representation.

As per a report from Sport, the starlet this week officially parted ways with super agent Jorge Mendes – fresh off negotiating Lamine Yamal’s long-term Blaugrana extension – to link up with Iván de la Peña.
