Barcelona youngster agrees contract extension | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week announced a contract renewal for a highly-regarded member of the club’s youth ranks.

The player in question? Jordi Pesquer.

Pesquer, for his part, is a 16-year-old defender, who generally operates at left-back.

The starlet spent this past season plying his trade with Barca’s Cadete A side, under the watch of Cesc Bosch.

And along the way, Pesquer continued to make a name for himself as a potential future star in the making.

So much so that those behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital recently made the call to open talks with the defender and his entourage, over the terms of a new deal.

And as alluded to above, this week, such talks have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s social media platforms on Thursday:

‘The player Jordi Pesquer has signed, in the presence of the Youth Football Director, José Ramon Alexanco, his continuation with the club in his youth stage.’
